Warranty & Operations
At EcoView Windows and Doors of Long Island, we take pride in our quality installation practices. While you can rest assured about the quality of our products and our work, we understand that sometimes issues happen. If and when they do, we have professional procedures in place to remedy the situation as quickly as possible.
Lifetime Warranty Coverage
To ensure a lifetime of worry-free performance and value, EcoView Windows are backed by one of the strongest warranties in the home improvement industry. Our Lifetime Limited Warranty includes protection against manufacturing defects and is transferable to a new owner if you sell your home.
Installation Issues
Dealing with window or door installation issues? We can help. Please be sure to send us your contact information and give us as much detail about the installation and issues as you can. Someone will contact you within 1-2 business days to set up an appointment if necessary.
Window Functioning Issues
Please review the scenarios listed below to correct your problem:
Unable To Lock The Window
Position the lock to its fully open position. Push the upper sash to the top of the window and move the lower sash to the bottom of the window. Once both sashes are in their proper positions, slide the lock into the “locked” position.
The Top Sash Has Moved Down From Its Pocket
Push the upper sash all the way to the top while at the same time pushing the lower sash down. This will align the lock and will allow you to lock the window.
The Sashes Are Not Aligned Properly In The Side Channels
Tilt both sashes in as if you were cleaning the window. Push both sashes firmly back into the window channel. This should align the sashes and allow the window to lock properly.
Balance Shoe Is Disengaged
If the balance shoe becomes disengaged from the sash, the window will not be aligned and therefore not lock. To correct this situation, please refer to the “Window is not staying up – keeps falling down” section for further instruction.

Operating Your Windows
After we install your windows, if you’re having trouble operating your new windows, please check the following pages for further instructions:
Glass Breakage/Seal Failure
Seal Failure
Seal failure is demonstrated by condensation in between the two panes of glass. This is a very rare occurrence. Most of the time, it is condensation on the inside or outside of the house. Please use a cloth to clean both sides of the sash before filling out this warranty form.
Broken Sash
If you have a cracked or broken sash, please tape the current window with clear duct tape so that the glass does not injure anyone while we are processing this warranty request. We will call you as soon as the sash arrives at our store to schedule an appointment.
For windows that require a left or right sash choice, please provide us the sash information OUTSIDE looking IN. This means if you were standing outside the house and looking at the window, is the problem with the left or right sash?
It will take anywhere from 3-6 weeks to get your replacement sash to the store. Once we receive it, we will contact you to set up a date when our technician can come and install the replacement sash.
Note: Glass breakage and seal failure replacement warranty does not apply to 3000 Series Windows.
